Call of Duty 4: Promod 4.31 Released |

In another attempt to unify the Call of Duty 4 scene, it has been agreed that the makers of the two main competitive mods for the game - DAMN:MW and Promod will combine to form Promod 4.30 and perhaps finally put an end to the "DAMN vs Promod" debate that has divided the competitive community as of late.

Although named Promod 4.30, this new version will be the first of the combined modifications. Some people may be worried that the combination of the two mods will bring some features from DAMN:MW that were considered too drastic, such as the heavily modified damage system. This will not be the case, as Jasdev "JUSZN" Virdee, the maker of the recent versions of Promod was clear to point out:
European's will be thinking "Don't change promod too much!", but i can ensure you that's not going to happen as so far the mod has been successful on the basis that everything was voted into and out of the mod and that will continue to be the case up until the FINAL comes out.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of this new version is the addition of the shout-caster overlay from DAMN:MW, which helps the shout-casters when watching and broadcasting matches. Overall, this new version looks like a healthy mix of the best bits from both DAMN:MW and Promod. You can find the official change log below.

Fully integrated Shout-caster Overlay
Flash fix preventing players from becoming unflashed when a grenade tags them/blows up behind them
Added Noise/dink when shooting someones head which differentiates the body sections
3rd person smokeless muzzle flash introduced (Sight/Spotting Enhancement)
Enhanced multiplayer options
cg_viewzsmoothing value adjusting has been blocked to prevent abuse
Car doors/bonnets will now instantaneously vanish when cars explode
Assault & SMG hitbox damage amplifiers to Legs/Arms/Feet/Hands have been dropped from 1.0 to 0.7 for improved aimbased hitbox, chest/neck & head retain same values as promod 4.22
Planting during timeouts blocked
All game types fully functional again
More compact HUD
Opponent will no longer hear the bomb drop sound as the bomb is planted
Name changes during ready-up-period will change instantly
The "Please do not cheat" display will display what's command needs changing
Menus will no longer close itself when the round is over
Server DVAR monitor has been implemented
Shortly after the release of Promod 4.30 a hotfix was released to deal with some minor bugs, taking the mod to 4.31.
Shellshock added to prevent sprint glitch at start of rounds
Custom ruleset iwd can now be editted to suit your server preferences (public mode)
Public SD rounds fixed to mr12 from mr8
Backlot ambience issue fixed
IWD checksum security added to prevent any alteration/cheating on main files for promod
Shoutcaster overlay sorting display bug corrected
lan_mr12/mr15 modes have fade to black feature for experimental purposes

CoD4 EU Promod Ladder Opening
CoD4 EU Promod Ladder is opening. To sign up, you have to be a team founder. From your team's TWL page, click the "Join New Competition" link found in the Team Administration block. Or to make a new team follow these instructions:To Create/Sign up your Team:
- Go to the create-a-team page.
- Fill out each field with the specified information.
- After your team has been created, go to your team's page and click "Join a New Competition".
- Under "Join a Ladder" select the CoD4 Ladder that you wish to compete on
A new server config and ruleset are required for matches. See our download section here. Promod_v3_final in the download page is required. This file is only to be used for this Promod Ladder. We are opening TDM and SND ladders. The SND has started and the TDM will open as soon as we get enough teams to play. Any Ladder-specific questions can be addressed at the CoD Ladder forums or you may contact staff on IRC at Gamesurge at #twl_cod.
